Trying something new.

This morning i woke up and decided I was going to write a song. After an hour of googling around for inspiration I came up with one on my own. I'm pretty sure I just made up the word "googling" but that's ok. I like what I like so far but feel like it needs improvement but am not sure where. I'm not really sure how I want style I want to have this so any suggestions in general are welcome. Thanks!

We swing around the corner
Grasping the edge of the road
The wind rushes through my hair as I close my eyes
I lean to the left and pine goes rushin by

And I think “hold on” we’re going for a ride
I feel like im flying but I havent left the ground
A car drives by and I think
Maybe I can fly!

Suddenly I'm off skidding across the lake like a water spider
The water grazes past my legs but its about to happen
I go for the jump and think if I was only higher
